METAGRA STRENGTHENS ITS COLD FORMING OPERATIONS FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR

The Bergara-based company, which specialises in manufacturing components through cold forming, continues to develop technical solutions for the automotive sector after more than five decades in business.

Metagra began by manufacturing fasteners for the automotive industry and has since progressed towards more complex components, including parts related to safety and regulatory compliance. Cold forming has remained at the core of its production process.

The company employs around 100 professionals at its Bergara headquarters and a further 40 at its plant in Celaya, Mexico. This international presence enables it to meet the needs of automotive customers in different markets.

In the field of innovation, Metagra has participated in SPRI Group programmes such as Hazinnova, which focus on the analysis and development of new projects. The company highlights dimensional accuracy, surface finish, efficient use of raw materials and process productivity among the benefits of cold forming.

Metagra is also working to reduce its environmental impact through the use of recycled material, electricity from renewable sources at its Bergara plant and the installation of solar panels.

Its strategy includes consolidating the development and manufacture of complex solutions for the automotive industry, as well as exploring their application in other sectors, in line with its sustainability policies and environmental, social and governance criteria.
