13 October, 2025Lortek will take part in Formnext 2025, the international additive manufacturing trade fair held in Frankfurt. The technology centre will be located in Hall 12.0, Stand C121.
At the event, it will present developments in PBF-LB, directed energy deposition (DED), friction stir additive manufacturing (FSAM) and hybrid solutions for the production and repair of metal components.
The innovations include Circle, a multi-robot cell for manufacturing and repairing large components. The system combines laser and twin-wire arc DED processes with 3D scanning, artificial intelligence, data analytics and a digital twin.
The infrastructure can adapt the process in real time and integrate different operations within a digital environment. Its main target applications are in the aerospace, space, energy and rail sectors.
Lortek will also present its progress in FSAM, a solid-state additive manufacturing process that builds components without melting the material and may provide improvements in structural integrity and energy efficiency.
