LORTEK OPENS A NEW SITE IN BILBAO ALONGSIDE IKERLAN

Lortek has opened a site at the Auzo Faktory in Matiko, Bilbao. It is the technology centre’s first location outside Gipuzkoa and forms part of a shared facility with Ikerlan.

The new location is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two centres, both members of MONDRAGON and the Basque Research and Technology Alliance, on projects related to the digitalisation of industrial manufacturing processes.

The opening also brings Lortek’s technology capabilities closer to Bizkaia’s business and innovation ecosystem, supporting the transfer of solutions to industry and the attraction of specialised talent.

The Matiko site forms part of MONDRAGON’s strategy to consolidate open cooperation environments involving technology centres, companies and institutions in Bilbao.
